I think you’re right about a paradigm shift.  I’m reading a book called The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell.  It describes how small ideas become very popular ideas or trends.  It seems that ‘Big Banks ruling our economy is unfair’ is a popular idea which is becoming more common.  The Innovators are the people protesting in the streets of Manhattan.  Soon, the Early Adopters will follow along.  These Early Adopters are the big businesses that can’t afford to be risky like these small revolutionary groups called Occupy Manhattan.  The big businesses will begin advertising and promoting the ‘idea’ causing it to go mainstream as Cool and Right.  Then the Late Adopters will finally agree with this movement and because they’re cool friends are rallying and speaking out, they will go along for the ride.  These banks have always been in control, but now the idea of it being unfair to the public majority is becoming popular.  I think people are struggling to meet their basic needs and desires and are pointing fingers.  It’s like Entitlement Mentality in Overdrive.  They want welfare checks if they could.  I bet most of them would simply sell out.  They don’t want to change the world with their own ideas or save a child in poverty from hunger.  They are self-serving at their core.  If they really want to make changes in the banking system they need to go about it much more intelligently.  Sit ins did do something for Blacks in the old South, but that’s not what gave them equal rights in America.  Charismatic leaders with purpose led the oppressed through terrible sacrifice and injustice before enough Whites submitted to the grace of humanity.  This video makes bad guys out of the New York Police for beating and arresting 700 people; it reflects the early stages of social change as in any equal rights movement.  While I agree a paradigm shift is growing, there is a much bigger issue at hand.  This Occupy Manhattan needs to essentially create their own business or bank in order to cause real change.  Organize lawyers, politicians, sociologists, economists, bankers, business owners, workers, etc all working with one common goal:  become independent of the Big Banks.  The real issue is that we are all completely dependent on the monetary system which the Big Banks control.  Can you imagine a baseball league making a ‘Fairness’ rule that everyone will score the same number of runs for every game?  It’s not baseball anymore, its Socialism.  The way to make it fair is to stop playing baseball.  I suggest that Occupy Manhattan is bunch of spoiled brats crying for momma to feed them.  Please use your minds and skills to get organized.  America was founded with 177 intelligent men in a room sharing ideas for months.  Revolution is an action plan, not a protest rally.  I welcome your honest feedback.

Dollar Bills or Bullion?

About Silver:

Please allow me to share a little information. Precious metals are a great investment at this time. The mismanagement of the financial system and scarcity of silver will drive Spot beyond record prices. Some investors speculate spot prices to reach $50 or $60, maybe more. Did you know that US Dollars were once backed by real gold and silver? Since 1974, however, our money is simply currency, or IOU, to the Federal Reserve Bank. So, gold and silver are REAL money.

U.S. government minted Silver Eagle - 0.999 Fine Silver

That’s why every $17 equals 1 oz. of silver, when it used to be just $1 per oz. Every time the US government creates 800 or 900 billion dollars out of nowhere, the balance of fake money versus REAL money tips. In the near future, this balance must be corrected. I read a book by Michael Maloney called “Guide to Investing in Gold and Silver.”  Maloney talks about the history of fake money versus REAL money and what has happened every time. REAL money always wins. In other words, gold and silver prices must increase to account for the trillions of IOU dollars. There is a limited amount of metal in the world, but an ever-expanding amount of paper dollars. By holding physical gold and silver, you hold a hard asset that has Real Value, more than the money in your wallet or in the bank. Please excuse me if I am dragging on, but I’m excited about the potential gains and possibilities for the future. I am just sharing my point of view.  Investors who know about the instability of the world’s fractional reserve system are hedging against hyperinflation of the Dollar by buying up all the gold and silver they can find. The most spectacular predictions for Silver reach $1,000 per ounce.

Thank you for your time and interest in silver. Consider investing in your future by positioning yourself beneficially during the greatest wealth transfer in the history of man.

All Natural Pest Control

Braddah O and I went on a business trip to Maui to network with our friends from All Natural Pest Control. Such a great experience. I love the island of Maui; it is beautiful. The waves were up on the North Shore and the sets spread out all across the bay.
Boys at All Natural Pest Control
Braddah’s Duey, Warren, and Junior provide professional, experienced Pest Control to the people of Maui without using poisonous pesticides. We went on a few house calls to see the operation. They use certified, patented organic products and common sense techniques to keep your home or office free of all kinds of pests. It is obvious their methods work because there were no signs of activity in or around the homes of the customers. Believe it or not, the way Mother Earth would want you to keep your homes pest free is less expensive than harmful petroleum based products used by other companies. And these boys are professionals with combined 20 years of experience. They share their aloha and malama da aina. I love a company that will uphold the highest principles for the sake of people and the land. Keep it All Natural.

Growing Successful

Today was a great day. At work we are planning out a Ping Pong Tournament for the employees. A group of about 6 of us play regularly after work. We want to create a tournament which will bring more people to the table, and hopefully encourage a healthier workplace environment. Everyone wants to see this happen, but nobody wants to take the initiative. So I took it upon myself. I had a pen and pad, brainstormed with a few guys at lunch, and we had a working outline of what needs to happen. In two days, we have two local eateries for sponsors with gift certificates, attractive flyers, and a bustle of positive energy flowing through our circle. We’ve enrolled many volunteers into our brainstorm and actively participate in bringing this tournament to reality. It’s great. Really, this is an exercise in Business, team building, and leadership. We will see this through, and it will be fun. This all feels like a great Success, and it was a great day. Every day is important for each individual to play their part or role. It is great to be the creative drive for such a project. My entrepreneurial spirit is manifesting, and its a beautiful thing. Thank you.

Oh yeah, I also sold my first Lincoln Chronicles Coin Set. I was so fired up on October 16th when this US Mint set went on sale. I called everyone I knew to buy one for me. The Mint only allowed one per person cuz they made only 50,000. They sold out the first day! I promised my friends and family $80 if they paid $65 for this set. Today I made a profit of $50 after the sets, friends, fees, and shipping were paid. Yes, that’s free money and a 62% return on my money in two months. They say start small and learn before doing bigger deals. It was a good lesson. I was so psyched, then I took action. Then some people didn’t act quick enough, some didn’t get the right information, etc. I wanted at least 100% return, but the ebay market didn’t show promise. I was disheartened for a while and had to let the whole thing go in a sense. I kept at it, worked some angles, posted, posted, posted the ad. And today, someone found it on Amazon and bought that sum’gun for $160. Thank you Sir! This all feels like a great Success, and it was a great day.

A while ago I realized its possible this sale went through because of another thing that happened earlier tonight. My brother Abas posted on Facebook about people belittling themselves to gain riches and one should never accept quantity over quality. I agree, wholeheartedly. I jumped on my soapbox and said, “It’s Universal Law that people must give before they can expect to receive.” The fact that I submitted an order for a gift for the very person who helped me purchase the coin set and for the same dollar value as that which I sold the coin set for, not more than one hour previously, is something divine. This was all done in kindness of spirit. That is just an amazing series of circumstances, and I choose to accept it as truth. It feels good to give with earnest. Keep giving for the sake of giving. This all feels like a great Success, and it was a great day.

Currently listening to Russ Dalbey’s: Secrets to Success on my iPod, a fantastic audio. Another reason for continued success :)

Spray Green = Plug & Play Biz in a Box

My partner just gave me an informational DVD for a company called Spray Green.  Its an organic landscaping spray that claims to make your lawn greener in 72 hours.  It’s also a form of pest control as it keeps out ants, roaches, and everything else in your grass.  However, it removes beneficial insects and worms from your lawn environment.  But who really wants those bugs in your front or back yard?

Eye-catching work truck advertises where ever you go.

Ok, the reason I’m blogging about this company is because there is money to be made everywhere.  This company is a business in a box.  Some franchises cost a million dollars (Burger King), and some are only $10,000 to start.  This company gives you everything you need for about $100,000 without company financing.  The nice truck with 20″ rims, all the hardware to make your sprayer work, advertising materials, company marketing, and 24 hour support.  They handle the calls to let you know about new accounts and keep competition at zero by placing distributors in private zones.  It is so freaking easy to do this work, a paraplegic can do it.  I’m not trying to be funny, they claim this in the DVD.  If you can drive, you can work this business.  Its amazing how well this company has set up the business structure.  It takes 30 minutes to make $50.  Load up your schedule with simple landscaping accounts and you’re in business.  My conservative estimates show that with no money out of your own pocket, you can make a profit with 50 hours of actual work-time per month.  Roughly stated: Free Money (if you pay someone to do the work for you).  Money is everywhere. The investors provide 100K and make 8 or 10%, Spray Green sells their juice, homeowners get a pretty front yard, an employee makes a decent living, accountants and insurance companies get work, and the business owner takes the cake all while stimulating the American economy. Win + Win all around.  Why am I not going to create a corporation around this business?  My partner and I like this idea, but we have another project we’re pushing forward to completion.  It too has infinite profit potential.  Ask me what it is and I’ll be glad to tell you all about it. Abundance is everywhere. Dreams are Reality.

The Scrooge

Adventurer, Tycoon, Scot. . .Mr. Scrooge.

It was an honor meeting Mr. McDuck while in Tokyo, Japan.  He is my favorite Disney character.  I admit he has a temper and is arguably a racist Scot, but the duck swims in gold dubloons and blows his nose with 100 dollar notes.  His strict financial management and sense of business are admirable.  He travels the world searching for priceless ancient artifacts and escapes death every time while doing it.  The Scrooge truly thinks Big and expansively (glaring reference to Donald Trump if you didn’t know).  If he doesn’t know how to do something, he knows somebody who does (attributed to Henry Ford).  For example if he wants to travel in time, he consigns his nerdy nephew to build a time machine!  Obviously, he’s a thinker and a dreamer.  There are no limits for Scrooge.  Life should be an adventure.  Everyone should be wealthy.  Akin to Indiana Jones though more like Ebeneezer, Scrooge is the man.

November!?

Can you believe its November already!?  Time is flying by too fast.  Looking back on my New Year’s resolutions, I’ve made some progress, but nowhere near the goal.  Where does the time go?  From day to day and week to week we toil in our offices or class rooms.  If taxes are a wage earners largest monetary expense, then work and school are our largest time expense.  I wish there were two Tim’s taking care of my responsibilities!  Luckily we have friends and family to help us out.

Guidance

Nobody tells us how to grow up.  We find our own way through this crazy mixed up world.  Our parents give us guidance, but ultimately we choose.  Some choose to seek pleasure, some choose to help others.  It doesn’t really matter.  We become the products of our own thought.  And we become a master of our desires.  In the end, all we have is satisfaction or regrets for not achieving satisfaction.

Every other Saturday

Yukari and I purchased Annual Passes to the wonderful Polynesian Cultural Center back in August. Most locals visited the attraction as grade schoolers and consider it a farce, but we have grown to love this place. We really enjoy the night show: now showing “Ha: Breath of Life.” The program tells the life story of Mana from birth through the experience of war and death. You experience different cultures from across Polynesia including mostly dance, culture, mythology, and of course the popular Fire Dance. Our favorite scene features Aotearoa, or Maori of New Zealand. The song and dance are so powerful and intense, we get chicken skin every time. Even after visiting 10 times!
IMG_0121
The center is owned and operated by the Church of Latter Day Saints.  Profits help pay for student tuition and housing. PCC offers a tour of the Lai’e Temple and the BYU of Hawaii campus. We have been there so many times, we figured we should go see the Temple. It is very clean and pretty. They boast of having the cleanest, nicest restroom on the island! They did pull us into a small theater to let us know more about the Mormon religion and subsequently sell us on the faith. Other than this slight annoyance, we have met some wonderful people completing their mission in paradise.

The park is decidedly cheesy in its humor. I suppose it is to cater to the tourists who know absolutely nothing about Polynesia. That is another big reason local Hawaiians never visit PCC. On the other hand, the missionaries are polite and respectful while portraying an informative picture of their home Polynesian islands. The Samoan family show is pretty funny. All attractions make time to poke fun at the tourists too, so I guess it goes both ways.

The Rodenberger’s don’t get out much.  We mostly like to hang around home.  But one of our shared interests is cultural dance of our island braddahs. The Polynesian Cultural Center is our place to be on Saturday night.  At least until next August.  Aloha

Audiobooks

Reading books can truly liberate your mind.  In grade school, our teachers force us to read seemingly crappy novels.  The Classics don’t ring many bells with children.  I see how The Grapes of Wrath tells of a time when life was hard for many Americans.  I don’t see how The Great Gatsby was inspiring at all.  Reading is not cool.  10+ years later, now that my $50k piece of parchment sits framed on my shelf, I have begun reading books again.  This time for fun!  My interests are focused on topics of finance and investing.  Yes, that’s fun for me.  The best thing about being interested in books (and owning an iPod) is to listen to audiobooks.  I can listen to inspiring, educational texts while I work, drive, do the dishes, or go to the gym.  If you don’t know about audio books, then I suggest trying it out.  www.librivox.org has thousands of novels from all subjects available for free download.  For example, I downloaded the Bhagavad Gita.  This is a wonderous tale of

Walking Positive with Audiobooks

Lord Vishnu speaking with Shiva before a battle ensues.  It is a section of the Upanishads of Hindu faith and history.  You can also find works by Jane Austin, Mark Twain, etc, etc.  It’s a great place to find novels and historical works.  For Free!!  Amazon.com has a partner Audible.com where you can purchase almost any audio CD and download it directly into your iTunes.  I just downloaded “Double Your Income Doing What You Love” by Raymond Aaron.  This book sets a standard on setting goals and achieving dreams, and I highly recommend it.  Some of my other favorites are Napoleon Hill’s classic “Think and Grow Rich”, Wallace Wattles’ “The Science of Getting Rich”, and Robert Kiyosaki’s “Cashflow Quadrant”.  I guess you have a better idea of where my inspiration comes from now.

I listen to this stuff during my hours of tedious labor and get amped!  The world has infinite possiblity.  If you haven’t listened to an audiobook in a while, or you’re just not into that kind of thing, make a promise to yourself you’ll find one that interests you and indulge.  It will change your life.  Have a great day!

Thank you MediaBistro.com for the image.
