Growing Successful

Today was a great day. At work we are planning out a Ping Pong Tournament for the employees. A group of about 6 of us play regularly after work. We want to create a tournament which will bring more people to the table, and hopefully encourage a healthier workplace environment. Everyone wants to see this happen, but nobody wants to take the initiative. So I took it upon myself. I had a pen and pad, brainstormed with a few guys at lunch, and we had a working outline of what needs to happen. In two days, we have two local eateries for sponsors with gift certificates, attractive flyers, and a bustle of positive energy flowing through our circle. We’ve enrolled many volunteers into our brainstorm and actively participate in bringing this tournament to reality. It’s great. Really, this is an exercise in Business, team building, and leadership. We will see this through, and it will be fun. This all feels like a great Success, and it was a great day. Every day is important for each individual to play their part or role. It is great to be the creative drive for such a project. My entrepreneurial spirit is manifesting, and its a beautiful thing. Thank you.

Oh yeah, I also sold my first Lincoln Chronicles Coin Set. I was so fired up on October 16th when this US Mint set went on sale. I called everyone I knew to buy one for me. The Mint only allowed one per person cuz they made only 50,000. They sold out the first day! I promised my friends and family $80 if they paid $65 for this set. Today I made a profit of $50 after the sets, friends, fees, and shipping were paid. Yes, that’s free money and a 62% return on my money in two months. They say start small and learn before doing bigger deals. It was a good lesson. I was so psyched, then I took action. Then some people didn’t act quick enough, some didn’t get the right information, etc. I wanted at least 100% return, but the ebay market didn’t show promise. I was disheartened for a while and had to let the whole thing go in a sense. I kept at it, worked some angles, posted, posted, posted the ad. And today, someone found it on Amazon and bought that sum’gun for $160. Thank you Sir! This all feels like a great Success, and it was a great day.

A while ago I realized its possible this sale went through because of another thing that happened earlier tonight. My brother Abas posted on Facebook about people belittling themselves to gain riches and one should never accept quantity over quality. I agree, wholeheartedly. I jumped on my soapbox and said, “It’s Universal Law that people must give before they can expect to receive.” The fact that I submitted an order for a gift for the very person who helped me purchase the coin set and for the same dollar value as that which I sold the coin set for, not more than one hour previously, is something divine. This was all done in kindness of spirit. That is just an amazing series of circumstances, and I choose to accept it as truth. It feels good to give with earnest. Keep giving for the sake of giving. This all feels like a great Success, and it was a great day.

Currently listening to Russ Dalbey’s: Secrets to Success on my iPod, a fantastic audio. Another reason for continued success :)
